This is the scary moment a speeding car crashes into a pile of bricks kept on the roadside in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in Baliwan Chauraha area of Deoria district on May 4.

Horrifying visuals, captured on a CCTV camera, showed a high-speed car losing its control and hitting a pole and a pile of bricks. A man, who was standing outside the shop where the incident took place, ran inside when he saw the car approaching him.

The spot of incidence was filled with dust because of the crash. The seriousness of the accident could be gauged from the fact that the car was badly damaged. It also hit another car parked in front of a shop, a medical facility.

Speaking to Newslions, Pawan Kumar Mishra, the owner of Jagdamba Pharma, confirmed that his car was hit by the speeding vehicle belonging to Ashutosh Singh. Mishra said that Singh's brother was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Fortunately for the driver, the airbags opened on time, saving him from a fatal injury.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
