Godzilla-like monitor lizard appears at woman's window asking for food
This is the astonishing moment a Godzilla-like monitor lizard appeared at a woman's window while looking for food.
The hungry beast was seen peeking through the transparent glass and flicking its long tongue while seemingly begging for a meal in Chachoengsao province on May 10.
Resident Panatnapat tried to drive the creature away by tapping on the glass, but the persistent reptile kept pressing its scaley nose against the window while looking longingly inside the house.
Panatnapat said: 'I saw the lizard trying to enter the house while I was inside. I think it might have been looking for food.'
Asian water monitor lizards live in canals and ponds in large cities in Thailand where they feed on fish, snakes, frogs and scraps of food left by humans.
In Thailand, all monitor lizards are listed as protected species and are often found in rivers and canals even in urban capital Bangkok.
