Muddy torrents surged through a flooded street after heavy rain in Karen State, Myanmar.
Footage shows brown, murky water flowing towards a road, disrupting traffic in Myawaddy on May 23.
The flood stalled traffic and created a long queue of stranded drivers.
Resident Aung Soe said: ‘The water kept flowing for hours like that. This is what we go through when it rains.’
A flood warning was raised in Myawaddy’s low-lying areas as the Thaungyin river overflowed after monsoon rains battered the region.
More than 100 houses have been submerged, which happens every year when the river reaches a critical level during storms.
