Beautiful moment sea turtle swims alongside snorkeler in crystal clear sea
This is the beautiful moment a friendly sea turtle swam next to a snorkeling tourist ‘like it was a tour guide.'
The 4ft-long marine creature was seen gliding beside the diver as she enjoyed the view of the coral reefs in Mindoro province, the Philippines on May 13.
Tourist Russel Llarena, 30, said the turtle seemed to be ‘guiding' her underwater as she swam through the crystal-clear tropical ocean.
She said: ‘It was so friendly. Maybe it liked the colour of my suit. The turtle swam around with me like it was a tour guide showing me around its home.'
Green sea turtles are classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) die to over harvesting of eggs, hunting of adults, and and being caught in fishing gears and nets.
