Sparks flew out into the air as a powerful tornado hit a city in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Foshan in Guangdong Province on June 19 shows a large twister swirling through a city, causing debris and sparks to fly into the sky.

The roof of a warehouse was ripped off. Vehicles, trees and electricity facilities were damaged.

The tornado was identified as an EF1 tornado, which is the second weakest tornado on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. The EF1 tornado had wind speeds between 86 mph and 110 mph.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
