Burmese ironsmith builds moving dinosaur robot from scratch
This Burmese ironsmith built a moving dinosaur robot from scratch.
The humble worker Ko Aun Kyaw Hlaing, 42, completed the functional triceratops machine in his workshop in Pyin Oo Lwin town in the Mandalay region on July 9.
Because he had no money, he said he built all the components himself, using spare pieces of iron, motors, and batteries to create the elaborate robot.
Impressively, Ko Aun Kyaw never completed formal schooling due to financial reasons, but instead honed his skills by working in the car manufacturing industry.
In an interview with local media, he said: 'I had to create the items I want with my own imagination, and make them step by step. I added a lever so that the children can feel the thrill of being able to drive on their own.'
The project was commissioned by a friend, who has now taken the robot.
