A girl was left injured after a cement-laden truck slammed into a toll booth in northern India's Uttarakhand on July 23.

The speeding lorry overturned after it collided with the Lachhiwala toll plaza in Doiwala town of Dehradun district.

A cloud of cement dust filled the area when the truck flipped over and dumped its load in the road.

The car ahead of the truck at the toll gate appeared to be bumped in the incident but the driver swiftly moved out of the way of the bigger vehicle as it fell over. Once he was able to move the barrier out of the way, he drove off.

The injured girl was in one of the toll booths hit by the truck, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A large crowd gathered at the toll gate after the incident, to see what had happened and offer to help.

CCTV footage captured the chilling moment the speeding truck gushed in and struck the toll plaza, leading to it getting flipped over. After the truck overturned, all the cement that it was carrying fell over, clouding the whole area.

The driver of a car, that was just ahead of the overturned truck at the toll plaza, panicked and fled the spot with his vehicle as soon as the accident occurred. The truck, which clearly seemed to have lost control, reportedly collapsed on one of the cabins, and a girl was injured in this accident. After this mishap, chaos ensued as people started running here and there before gathering near the truck.

The injured girl was sent to the hospital for treatment. However, it was a close shave for the other people at the spot.
