This futsal goalkeeper celebrated too early after thinking he saved a penalty on August 23.

After a game between Praja Satpol PP Buleleng FC and the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Buleleng FC ended 2-2, a penalty shootout was used to decide the winner.

The PDAM Buleleng FC keeper managed to block the initial save sending the ball spinning up into the air. Thinking he had saved it, he broke into a celebratory dance.

Footage shows the ball spin into the back of the net unbeknownst to the goalkeeper.

The Praja Satpol PP Buleleng FC players spotted this and immediately alerted the referee. The goal was eventually given, taking the shootout to 3-2 in Praja Satpol PP Buleleng FC's favour.

They then won the game after a PDAM Buleleng FC player missed their penalty.

The manager of Praja Satpol PP Buleleng FC, I Gede Arya Suardana, who watched the match from the stands, said: "When the ball from our team's penalty taker was blocked by the goalkeeper, we thought it over and the crowd cheered. But, the ball bounced and went into the goal. The crowd saw it but the goalkeeper, referee and penalty taker didn't."
