Student protester injured in clash with police over Indonesia Army Law revision
A student protester was rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries during a clash with police at a demonstration against the revision of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) law in front of the Bukittinggi City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) office.
Footage captured today (Thursday, March 20, 2025) in West Sumatra Province, shows demonstrators engaging in a physical confrontation with security personnel as they attempted to enter the DPRD building.
The protesters are rejecting the TNI law revision, which they believe will return Indonesia to the era of the New Order, characterized by oppression and arbitrary actions.
