Divers and rescuers search for survivors and victims of the bridge collapse that shook India's Gujarat yesterday (October 30).

3 National Disaster Response Force teams were deployed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.

It has been reported that hundreds of people were on the bridge celebrating a religious festival when the structure fell. At least 133 people died.

Local reporter Jyesh said that most of the victims are young people and children.

The bridge had been reopened recently after undergoing repairs.

An investigation has been launched.

3 NDRF teams are on ground to carry out rescue operations. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached Morbi last night and took stock of the situation. Indian Army had also reached here around 3 at night. They are trying to recover the bodies. Local reporter Jyesh who is continuous covering the entire incident tells , most of the victims in this incident are young people and small children , as families came here with their children for weekend visit , jyesh adds multiple teams of NDRF , Army and state police and rescue teams are involved into the rescue mission . The bridge is a local picnic spot that sees huge crowds on weekends and other holidays. Remember, the bridge was recently renovated and opened after Diwali
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced an Ex- Gratia of Rs 2 Lakh to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to those Injured. President Droupadi Murmu, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, and other top leaders of the country have also expressed their anguish over the incident.
