A massive landslide struck the Kundi–Sunara road near Dhag in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district on June 14. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

The landslide, which occurred in the Bharmour Assembly constituency, sent huge boulders and debris tumbling down the mountainside, blocking the road and plunging debris nearly a kilometre down into the river below.

Footage shows the sheer intensity of the landslide, with dust clouds and rockfall halting all movement in the area. Luckily, no vehicles were on the road at the time of the incident.

Local administration and Public Works Department (PWD) teams rushed to the spot immediately. After swift restoration work, the road has now been cleared and reopened for traffic.

Authorities continue to monitor the area for potential secondary slides, urging commuters to remain cautious while traveling through hilly terrain during monsoon conditions.
