This is the heartbreaking moment a pet owner returned home to find all his fish electrocuted by a fallen power strip in China.

The devastated animal owner found all 26 of his beloved fish zapped to death in their aquarium after the device plunged into the water in his home in Guangzhou City, Guangdong province, on October 25.

He had placed the fish tank right next to an electric socket where the power strip was placed, but the device was dislodged when he went out for an errand.

The bereaved man said he had lost 8,000 RMB (around 1,100 USD) worth of pet fish due to the accident.
