Two months after Hurricane Ian, southwest Florida's coasts are still being plagued by fish-killing red tide.

Footage from November 27 shows dozens of fish carcasses washed up on Venice beach.

The Mote Marine Laboratory reported that the red tide organism, Karenia brevis, was found in 133 water samples in the past week.

Rainwater and storm surges from Hurricane Ian are believed to have fuelled the red tide.

Beachgoers, who are experiencing irritated eyes and lungs that cause them to cough are being warned to limit exposure to the red tide irritants.
