This tourist made sure she looked fabulous during her birthday celebration by retouching her makeup even while strapped into a thrill ride in the Philippines.

The woman, Krijrana Cabanez, was celebrating her 25th birthday with family and friends at a fairground in Santa Rosa city, Laguna province on November 26.

Not wanting to look haggard on disheveled on camera, she decided to whip out a makeup compact and began powdering her face while being lifted on the drop tower ride.

Amusing video shows Krijrana diligently reapplying her foundation, unfazed as her seat inched towards the sky.

She said: 'I didn't expect the weather to be so hot. I didn't want to look bad since my mum's friend was filming us, so I retouched my makeup.'

The sassy birthday girl joked: 'Why die ugly when you can die beautiful?'
