Alert cop saves life of man who slipped while boarding train in northern India
An alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) cop came to the rescue of a man who slipped while boarding a train in northern India's Bihar.
The incident happened at the Purnia station under the Katihar division on January 3.
CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when the man lost his balance while boarding the moving train and was dragged by the vehicle as it moved forward. The man had held on to the train's handle for dear life as a result of which, he was dragged by the train. He also seemingly looked to slip into the gap between the train and the platform but the RPF cop, who was at the platform, rushed to his aid as he pulled him out of harm's way.
The RPF cop in question is Sanjiv Kumar Singh who was on duty at the station when this incident happened.
