An alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) cop saved the life of a man who slipped and fell while boarding a moving train in southern India's Telangana.

The incident reportedly happened on platform number one at the Lingampally railway station on March 14.

CCTV showed the incident where the RPF cop named Vishwajeet Kumar saved the life of the 45-year-old man, Shashikant who fell while getting on the moving train. Shashikant had his right leg stuck in the gap between the train and platform and the cop rushed to his rescue in no time.

However, Vishwajeet suffered minor injuries while pulling off this rescue act. Shashikant, who hails from Bidar in southern India's Karnataka, was able to continue his journey after being saved from what could have been a big accident.

Vishwajeet's actions were applauded by the Railway Protection Force.
