A terrified park-goer nearly fell out of an extreme ‘Surf Dance' ride at a fairground in the Philippines.

The unidentified man occupied the middle part of the vessel that sent revellers rotating through the air in Pasay City on December 24.

However, when the ride was about to finish, thrilled screams turned into shock as the man's leg dangerously dangled off.

Footage shows the Surf Dance ride turning sideways before the man could be seen off his seat.

Onlooker Daniel de Guzman said: 'They said the ride was not faulty but the man was too thin for it. When the ride turned, he was thrown off and almost fell.

‘A lot of people saw what happened so the ride was immediately stopped. No one was hurt but the man was scared after that.'

Daniel added the ride was checked and closed off to guests for about two hours before it resumed operation.
