A fisherman used a fishing rod to rescuen a drowning girl in central China.

Video filmed in the city of Jingzhou in Hubei Province on January 10 shows a man using a rod to hook onto a woman's clothes as she was floating in a river. Another man is seen pulling the rod to bring the woman back to the shore.

According to reports, Li and his friend heard a loud noise as the woman fell into the river from a 15-metre-high bridge when they were fishing.

The girl was not injured seriously and she was taken away by the police to be questioned.
