This is the heart-stopping moment a steel pole fell from a truck and pierced through a driver's windshield in Malaysia.

Dashcam footage shows the rusty rod flipping through the air as it flew loose from under the truck's tarpaulin sheet.

It smashed right through the glass of a car driving along the PLUS highway in Selangor on January 13.

The deadly object had shot through the windscreen, right into the vehicle's passenger seat.

No one was hurt, but driver Cass had to pay 1,000 RM (around 232 USD) for repairs.

She said she was coasting along the road with her dogs when the accident happened.

Cass said: "It does look like the 'Final Destination' movie, but is not. I thought I would die and my dogs were with me too. Lucky I was driving slow at PLUS highway. If I wasn't calm or I jammed my brakes, I would have died".

She added that she has filed a police complaint and is urging the public for more information on the case as her dashcam failed to capture the truck's license plate clearly.
