Wild monitor lizard swims next to passing tourist boat on canal in Thailand
A wild monitor lizard swam next to passing tourist boats on a canal in Thailand.
Footage shows the creature paddling behind the first vessel before it turned to a second and third boat in Samut Songkram province on March 14.
It seemingly wanted to climb up but had to swim away when it failed twice and even went under the third one.
The reptile was then seen drifting towards one of the shops.
Onlooker Amallprapa Thongkumsai said: ‘Many monitor lizards live around these parts. They are used to seeing tourists and locals.'
