This is the heartwarming moment a kind driver released a bird that was stuck in her car bumper.

Yupawadee Pojjanart was driving through a highway when she saw the oriental magpie robin on the side of the road in Phetchaburi province, Thailand on March 21.

As she sped through the highway, the hapless creature flew into the path of her car and hit the bumper.

But Yupawadee said she decided to stop and double-check if the black bird was okay and she found it stuck between the tiny holes in front of her car.

Footage shows Yupawadee using scissors to cut the thin metal sheets and free the bird's wings. The creature appeared terrified and tried to flap its trapped wings.

She said: ‘I didn't mean to hurt the little bird. I had a bad feeling that the bird somehow needed help so I pulled over.'

The creature flew away when its wings were released, and Yupawadee went on her way. It appeared to be unharmed and could fly freely without suffering any injuries.
