Airport staff give water salute to mark Nok Air's last flight with a Bombardier Dash 8
Airport staff performed a water salute to mark the last flight of an airline's Bombardier Dash 8 planes.
Footage shows the Q400 turbo-prop operated by low-cost carrier Nok Air taxiing on the tarmac as trucks sprayed jets of water to welcome the aircraft on the runway in Phrae, northern Thailand, on April 19.
The plane had just completed flight DD187, taking passengers from the Don Mueang International Airport in the capital Bangkok.
Since August 2014, the low-cost airline Nok Air has been using eight Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft to operate at airports where larger planes cannot be used.
CEO Wutthiphum Jurangkool said the firm's use of the plane, now manufactured by De Havilland Canada, had been phased out from all of its routes.
