A littler of six puppies were rescued after the mother dog was heard crying near a drainage canal in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu.

Footage from April 29 shows firefighters reaching down into a drain by the side of the road.

Villagers had noticed the mother dog whining and barking near the area before locating the puppies trapped down in the canal.

A team of firefighters managed to rescue the tiny puppies and reunited them with their mother.

Mama Dog gave birth to 6 puppies weeks ago. When these puppies were playing near a drainage canal it fell inside the canal one by one. Mama dog hearing the cries of puppies she came running and tried to rescue but she can't able to make it. Then she was standing near the canal and barking for hours together.

Some of the villagers noticed the strange action of the dog and found its puppies inside the canal they tried to rescue but they too failed.

Then they rang up the fire and rescue team they rushed to the spot and rescued the puppies one by one.

Later the mama dog and the puppies were reuinted. Mama dog checked it's babies and she was happy as they were rescued safely
