Footage shows the defiant parasol - installed as ornament - slightly being lifted by blowing gusts in Chiang Mai province, Thailand on April 23.
However, the object remained on its spot throughout the bad weather battering the area.
Resident Supaporn Aunruen said: ‘It was funny. I feel like the umbrella was fighting the storm. It survived until the end and refused to be carried away.'
