Weary mother dog barks at resident to help her save puppy buried under rubbish
A weary mother dog barked at a resident to get her attention and help her save her puppy that was buried under rubbish.
The pregnant pooch built her nest at a vacant piece of land under a pile of metal roofing sheets in Roi Et province, Thailand on April 22.
She gave birth among the discarded building materials where she had been living with her baby for a few days.
But on April 22, she had to ask a passerby for help as she returned to her sole puppy lost under the old roof while she was searching for food.
Footage shows the good Samaritan looking under the pile as a faint sound of a crying puppy was heard. The local Anny Charuwan carefully lifted up the rusty metal sheets until she finally found the tiny black pooch near a tree.
Anny said: ‘The mother dog was whimpering and seemed to be asking me to follow her. I knew she just gave birth because I always see her around.'
When Anny checked on the vacant lot, she knew what had happened when she heard a puppy crying.
She said: ‘The stray mother and the puppy lived a tough life there. I don't know how they survived. The place looked like a dump site with hazardous trash.'
Anny picked up the puppy, and the mother dog looked excited to have her baby back.
She returned the puppy to her, and the mother stray quickly cuddled her offspring when they were reunited.
Anny added: ‘I adopted them and they will live with me in my home. I don't know if she had other puppies but there were only the two of them when I found them.'
The puppy and the mother dog were unhurt and healthy, living in their new home with their new family.
