Wild panda mating was captured on an infrared camera in southern China.

Video filmed in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province on April 12, shows two adult pandas frolicking and cuddling together, seemingly in the midst of a passionate courtship.

The male panda can be seen circling around the female, alternating between observing his surroundings and stretching lazily, all the while displaying his charm. Eventually, the two wild pandas successfully mated.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it is expected that panda cubs will be born in a few months, further bolstering the population of wild pandas in the Aba area of the Giant Panda National Park.

According to experts, the breeding season for giant pandas typically occurs between March and April each year, with females being in estrus for only two or three days during the spring.

近日，大熊猫国家公园松潘管理总站工作人员在整理回收的红外相机数据时，发现架设在小河片区的红外相机首次拍摄到两只野生大熊猫交配的珍贵画面。

该段视频拍摄于今年的4月12日,视频中两只成年大熊猫嬉笑打闹、腻歪在一起，好像正处于“热恋期”。一只雄性大熊猫一直围着雌性大熊猫周围转圈，一会四处观察、一会伸懒腰，一刻不停的展现自己的魅力。随后，两只野生大熊猫成功交配。不出意外，再过几个月就有大熊猫宝宝出生，壮大大熊猫国家公园阿坝片区的野生大熊猫种群。

据了解，每年的3至4月份为大熊猫繁殖交配季节，雌性大熊猫多在春季发情，一年中的发情期才2-3天。在此期间，大熊猫通过肛周腺体的分泌物涂在柱子，树桩，墙上，地上以及它们经常经过的地方做气味标记。做了标记以后，会在做标记的地方剥掉树皮，或留下抓痕，以引起其他大熊猫的注意。

近年来，大熊猫国家公园松潘园区加强生态保护，植被丰富，大熊猫等野生动物生存环境不断改善，红外相机监测效果显著，野生大熊猫频频在红外相机下打卡。
