An urban explorer has shared the inside of an abandoned funeral home, claiming to have found “blood” on the coffin pillows.

Bretton Barry, known better online as Urbex Ventures (@‌urbexventures), found out about the location through a friend.

The funeral home, located in North Carolina, US, is believed to have been deserted in the 1970s and has remained largely untouched ever since.

A video of the TikToker’s exploration has gone viral online with over six million views.

“The back door was open, so it was pretty easy to get inside. Then I decided to open up the caskets, only to find blood stained all over them,” Bretton, an urban explorer from Raleigh, North Carolina, claims, speaking to NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“Every single casket had blood stains, whether it was on the metal at the bottom or on the pillows.

“It also smelled terrible the second we opened them and I knew something was up.

“There were also two boxes of human remains left in the embalming room.

“It had a super creepy atmosphere as the first you’d see was the embalming slab along with ashes right next to it, that set the table for how it was going to be there.”

The explorer also spotted hearses and an old Corvette in a garage in the back.

In the clip, the content creator begins by revealing a room filled with caskets, before taking a closer look and spotting stains which he believes was “blood”.

The clip finishes off with a shot of the abandoned boxes, reportedly filled with ashes.

The post has racked up 460,800 likes and over 2,260 comments.

“The ashes just left behind make me sad,” wrote Hunter.

“It’s not blood, they colour the fluid they fill the bodies with red to bring back some colour to them,” said Jay.

“This completely flipped my stomach upside down,” commented Kelsey.

“That's someone's grandpa or grandma, damn.,” added Tokyo.
