According to a recent survey carried out by the Burgundy Wine Board (BIVB), sales of Burgundy wines remained at record levels in the first half of this year, with 43 million bottles sold abroad.

The BIVB data showed that the region generated over 1.5 billion euros in revenue by exporting approximately 122.7 million liters of wine to more than 170 countries and regions in 2022, marking an impressive increase of over 1 million euros compared to 2021.

However, Francois Labet, president of the BIVB, pointed out that the biggest problem in Burgundy is the scarcity of wine, as wine stock levels in Burgundy still linger below the five-year average.
