A group of friends hilariously convinced their sleeping pal that he had drifted off in the middle of a card game.

Wilfredo Manglaplus Jnr was on holiday in Canada on November 11 with his mates when one of them, Roman Kiryakov, fell asleep with his phone in his hand.

Hilarious footage – viewed more than 40million times – shows Wilfredo switch out Roman’s mobile for cards while the friends set out chips on a table.

After saying his name, Roman woke from his slumber clearly confused as to the set up before saying ‘I don’t even know the rules’ leaving his friends to fall about laughing.

Wilfredo, from New Jersey, said: “We didn't think the prank would be successful because we all were laughing so much. It was difficult to keep our laughter in, but it somehow worked out.

“We found it hilarious and after he realised it was a prank, we immediately showed him the video we just took because we were so proud of it.

“He was probably asleep somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes before we woke him.

“I initially saw he was asleep with his phone in his hand and thought I'd switch his phone out with something else as a joke.

“I first replaced his phone with a table coaster but our other friend, Alberto Segarra, thought it'd be even funnier to place playing cards in his hands.

“That was when we set up a fake game around him so he would wake up thinking he was in the middle of a game.”
