Manhole cover explodes, knocking over boy after firecracker tossed into sewage in China
A manhole cover exploded, knocking over a boy after a firecracker was tossed into a sewage in northern China.
The CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Taiyuan in Shanxi Province on January 13.
A boy lit a firecracker and threw it into a manhole, causing an explosion. As he happened to be standing on the manhole cover, he was thrown into the air, landing on the ground.
Nearby merchants claimed that there might be methane gas under the manhole cover.
The boy, appearing to be around 10 years old, fortunately suffered only minor injuries, with bruises on his legs.
