Wild tusker Padayappa is on rampage yet again in Munnar. The jumbo broke the glasses of a bus in Rajamala last night. A Tamil Nadu State bus running on the Munnar-Udumalaipettai route had come under attack. The incident happened around 9 PM
Padayappa had appeared in front of the bus on a stretch located in the 8th mile region. The jumbo had blocked the path of the bus not allowing the vehicle to continue journey. In a violent act, it then started pushing the bus towards the edge of the road.

Had things gone awry, the bus could have fallen into the deep pit on the right side of the road. But luckily, that didn't happen. This is the third vehicle that has been attacked by Padayappa over the last three days.

The wild jumbo quite often takes a stroll on the route. On normal days, Padayappa meekly gives way for the vehicles while moving on the roads.

The elephant is reportedly in a musth state which is being cited as the reason for its aggressive behaviour.
