Thai man shows off epic dreadlocks he has grown for 20 YEARS
A Thai man showed off his epic dreadlocks that he has been growing for more than 25 years.
Komkrit Poongern, 52, a musician and sound engineer, proudly displayed his long hair on camera at his house in Krabi, Thailand, at the weekend.
Footage taken at various in the last 12 months shows Komkrit knotting his hair to prevent it from touching the ground as part of his daily routine.
He said: 'I haven't experienced any neck pain because my hair has gradually grown. Despite considering cutting it over the years, I've continued to let it grow.'
The artist has been performing on stage with his hair knotted at the ends of the strands.
Maintaining his dreadlock hair for over two decades, their length now exceeds his own height.
Long dreadlocks require regular maintenance to prevent matting and keep them clean. Common methods include palm rolling, twisting, or using crochet hooks.
They were made popular by the reggae singer Bob Marley though there's evidence of dreadlocks in ancient Egypt depicted on artifacts, dating back to 2500 BCE
