Homeowners in an apartment building were shocked when they discovered hundreds of liquor jars in the electrical room.

The discovery was reportedly made in a residential community in Chongqing, China, on the morning of April 8.

Several residents filmed the bizarre finding and could be seen in phone footage walking around the dark garage with their phone lights on before going into the electrical room to reveal the hundreds of jars of liquor neatly arranged on the floor.

Concerned about the potential dangers, residents expressed worry, fearing the consequences of a possible explosion.

The property management stated that the liquor jars were left as a gift to them by the developer and have since been removed.

The local police station is investigating the matter and has taken statements from the property management.

The street emergency office said it will also supervise patrols in each community within its jurisdiction.
