Car flips in second collision moments after police wrap up lane change incident in China
A car flipped in the second collision moments after the police wrapped up a lane change incident in northern China.
The dashcam video was filmed in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province on May 5.
A white Haval SUV was rear-ended while changing lanes. Just as the traffic police finished handling the initial collision and were preparing to leave, chaos struck again as the same Haval SUV collided with a Honda in the adjacent lane, causing it to flip over.
This marked the occurrence of a second collision in mere moments, prompting the traffic police to rush back to the scene for a second intervention.
According to the traffic police, the first collision was attributed to the white Haval SUV's failure to notice the approaching vehicle while changing lanes, thereby disrupting the flow of traffic and bearing full responsibility for the accident.
Similarly, the second collision was caused by the Honda's lane change, which also impeded the vehicles behind it, resulting in the Honda assuming full liability for the incident.
Regarding injuries, the traffic police disclosed that aside from the driver of the white Haval SUV, there were also the driver's wife and their 11-month-old child in the vehicle.
Fortunately, all three occupants emerged from the ordeal unscathed. Moreover, no other individuals were reported injured as a result of the accidents.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
