A tourist fell from his scooter and slid along a wet road into an oncoming car.

Dashcam footage shows the foreigner on the rented bike slamming into the ground and then gliding on the slippery asphalt on the downward-sloped curve.

His motorcycle skidded on the other lane before slamming into the front bumper of an oncoming car in Phuket, Thailand on June 1.

There was a thud and the unharmed tourist was seen being assisted by the driver Khun Nid Veeraphong.

The foreigner was seen explaining to Khun Nid how he fell as he gestured 'thank you' with both palms pressed to him.

Khun Nid said: ‘At that time I was driving home. I passed through Khao Pathong and it was stormy that night so I was travelling slowly.

‘The visibility was poor but fortunately, I saw him right away so I had time to slow down. I thought he was hurt when he hit my bumper.'

The tourist, however, was unscathed and Khun Nid said the man thanked him repeatedly before they parted ways. The car was not damaged and the rider was able to pick up his motorcycle and carry on his journey.
