A professional dancer who became an online celebrity by using her dance skills to move like a robot has revealed the key to success - is in the eyes.

The young woman, identified only by her surname Li, came up with the idea to pretend to be a robot using her dance skills to attract customers to her hotpot restaurant in the Chongqing municipality in southwestern China.

But her moves are so realistic, most people do not even believe that they are dealing with a real woman waitress, in particular, because she never blinks and seems unfocused with her eyes, which she said was a trick that took a lot of practice to perfect.

She said: 'I can go for easy between 12 and 15 minutes is just a question of practice. It's easy for me to do it now.
'I also had to learn not to focus on things, which is also a giveaway when you are trying to pretend to be a robot.'
Her current challenge now is to perfect her voice to make it also sound equally robotic.

The amazing eye control that she exerts has the power to con even the most sceptical visitor and she is now invited to also take part in high-tech events promoting robot tech where she performs alongside real robots as the star attraction.

Her success comes amid heated debate about how AI was replacing humans in jobs. Many people praised the fact that humans had turned the tables and were taking a robot's job.

In one of the videos, from June 9, she served a dish to a table set with a spicy hotpot soup base, duck innards, ham, and vegetables.

Other videos show her mechanically waving at guests at the entrance and providing an impressive performance as she served up food and poured tea.

According to the woman, the rhythmic and mechanical movements resemble the beats of street dance, making the task easier for her.
