CCTV footage filmed in Pu'er City in Yunnan Province on August 20, shows the tremors shaking for several seconds, causing panic among residents who rushed to safety. In the chaos, children were seen crying in fear, while two mothers instinctively shielded their children before seeking refuge under tables or in safe corners.

Pu'er City officials are currently conducting a thorough damage assessment, but no reports of casualties or building collapses have been received so far.
