Hog deers lock horns in duel for territory at Thai animal sanctuary
Two male Indian hog deers locked horns in a duel for territory at a national park in Thailand.
Footage shows the two animals charging at each other and trying to hit their opponents with their heads at Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary in Chaiyaphum on September 4.
Hog deers are found from Pakistan, northern India, Nepal, and Bhutan to mainland South East Asia in Burma, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.
The ears are rounded, and older animals often have lighter-coloured faces and necks. Their coat is thick and generally a uniform dark brown in winter, with lighter underparts and legs.
