This footage shows some of the 60 packets of cocaine that a woman attempted to smuggle through customs into South Africa.

The footage, obtained from the South African Police Service (SAPS), shows an officer holding up a bag containing some of the white packets that were found in the suspect's stomach after she landed at Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

An x-ray photograph showed the dozens of packets of cocaine in her stomach before the authorities made her pass them out naturally.

The authorities said that they arrested the suspected drug mule on Sunday, 22nd September, with National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe saying: "The team immediately intercepted the drug mule as she was making her way through immigration. She was immediately taken to a local hospital where a medical X-ray confirmed and detected foreign objects in her stomach."

The police said that the suspect, a Namibian woman on a flight from Sao Paulo in Brazil, was in custody and that they were in the process of helping the suspect release all of the packets from her body.
