Finnlines launches new freight service between Finland and Kent, UK
Finnlines has launched a new freight route connecting Finland to Kent, UK.
Vessel Finneco1 was seen departing Port of Sheerness this afternoon (September 30) on the new route's second official sailing.
The weekly service is operated by three vessels with a capacity for around 400 trailers each and also includes the option to connect with Belgium, Spain and Ireland.
A Finnlines press release, quotes Merja Kallio-Mannila, Finnlines’ Commercial Director as saying: “Finnlines continues to strengthen its services by increasing cargo capacity for the UK service. Furthermore, the launch of our new service from Sheerness secures an important trade route between England and the Continent, further solidifying our position in the market."
