On October 2, in Xiamen, Fujian, a mother and daughter were swept away by large waves while playing by the sea, putting them in grave danger. Fortunately, bystanders quickly joined forces to rescue them, and the pair was successfully saved.

The incident occurred near the dolphin sculpture on Huandao South Road, where the mother and daughter were playing in the sea when they were suddenly pulled into the water by strong waves. Onlookers immediately shouted for help, asking, "Is there anyone who can swim?"

Lin Jianhuang, who was nearby, saw what happened and immediately rushed into the sea to save them. Footage from witnesses shows him battling the waves, repeatedly being swept back but never giving up.

At the same time, sanitation worker Gan Yinxing, who was responsible for cleaning the beach, noticed the situation. He grabbed a life ring from the shore, removed his clothes and shoes, and dove into the water to assist in the rescue. Together, they were able to bring the mother and daughter back to safety.

Once ashore, the mother, exhausted and having swallowed water, collapsed on the beach, while her daughter was in relatively better condition. Local authorities, police, and emergency medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene, and the mother and daughter were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The daughter has since been discharged, while the mother, who sustained more serious injuries, is still recovering in the hospital.
