A police chase ended with a head-on collision in New York.

Officers said incident began as a routine traffic observation but escalated into a high-speed pursuit on October 3 in the Rochester area when a Nissan 350Z, lacking license plates, allegedly attempted to evade law enforcement.

The hunt reached speeds of 130 mph on Highway 12 and took a dangerous turn when the fleeing vehicle lost control and spun out on Sargent Road.

Footage captures the shocking moment the driver slammed into the Thurston County deputy's vehicle. Instead of obeying the authority's orders to show his hands, he defiantly ran away on foot.

K9 Igo and his handler were quickly deployed, tracking the suspect into dense woods. Despite clear warnings to surrender, the driver only ceased his escape after the canine engaged.

The driver was medically evaluated and subsequently booked into TCSO jail on charges including driving with a suspended license and attempting to evade law enforcement.

The deputy involved in the crash received immediate medical attention and reportedly sustained no life-threatening injuries.
