The video, taken from her apartment, shows the grim reality as Michelle states, 'This is my apartment. I took the video myself. I'm currently sitting on my bed, surrounded by water. I went to bed at around 8 p.m., listening to the rain as I fell asleep. I woke up to knee-deep water and the National Guard arriving.'
Visuals across the street from the Civic Center in Roswell, New Mexico, further illustrate the extent of the flooding, with entire streets submerged and rescue teams mobilized. The community now faces the enormous task of recovery as Michelle’s story highlights the personal toll of this natural disaster."
