Police rescue pet dog stuck in gas line hole in Michigan
This is the heroic moment police rescued a pet dog stuck in a gas line hole in Michigan.
Footage shows the 11-year-old canine, Sophie, being pulled to safety by Trooper Justin Van Nuil from the Niles Post in Watervliet Township. He used a welch hitch - typically used for vehicle recovery - to save Sophie.
The incident occurred late Thursday night, October 10, when Sophie reportedly fell into a deep excavation site during a routine walk.
The Michigan State Police said: 'Sophie and her owner couldn't have been more relieved when Niles Post Tpr. Justin Van Nuil responded.'
