Toyota mechanics helped extract a python that slithered into a car while being repaired.

The workers were reconditioning a grey Hilux when a 3ft (0.9 metre) serpent slinked underneath the vehicle in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand on November 2.

Footage shows a team of technicians searching for the wild snake that entered the car. They checked every gap and raised the car in a hydraulic lift for easier access.

Eventually, one of the workers spotted where the animal had been hiding and grabbed it by the tail.

He pulled it out of the pickup truck with bare hands and helped secure it in a sack with colleagues. It became aggressive when captured and tried to bit them without success.

The Hilux owner, Chakra Masawang, said: 'I took my car to the Toyota Tha Chin Phutthamonthon Sai 4 branch.

'While waiting, the branch manager informed me that a snake had gotten into my car, which might delay the service a bit. I watched as they caught the snake.'

Thailand's hot and humid climate provides ideal conditions for snakes to thrive, especially in forested or rural areas where they can find shelter and hunt for food.
