Mechanics shocked to find huge python underneath car
Mechanics repairing a car were shocked to find a huge python coiled in the underside.
The workers were inspecting a customer's grey car hanging on a hydraulic lift when they spotted the reptile moving in its chassis in Lopburi, Thailand, on July 9.
When they realised it was a snake, they called animal rescuers to help remove it from the vehicle.
Footage shows a volunteer using a long pole to drag out the 10ft (3 m) reptile. Two of his colleagues used their bare hands to pull the animal out by its tail, and one kept a firm grip on its neck.
The snake was taken by the rescuers to be released into the wild. No one was hurt, including the animal.
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals, and even cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
