Stay dog squashed between two walls rescued by locals
A stray dog squashed in the narrow space between two walls was rescued by locals.
The pooch had climbed the roof of an unfinished home to sleep at night but plunged through the thin gap and was stuck 20ft (6m) below in Trang, Thailand on November 7.
It was heard crying by neighbours and called the rescue team for help extracting the canine.
Footage shows the exhausted dog lying on its back being pinched in the space between the concrete.
The rescuers used a long bamboo pole with rope to try and fish it out from the front of the houses. They tried to hook it by the leg and successfully caught a limb.
They then slowly dragged the pooch out. It was uninjured but was visibly tired as it could not move properly after hours of being trapped.
Siam Ruamjai Poo In Foundation Rescue Team chief Yuttachai Mueangrat said: 'The dog is estimated to be a year old. It was not hurt.'
The dog was fed and taken to an animal shelter to find a new home.
