Firefighters save girl with trash can stuck on her head in China
At 8:15 p.m. on December 1, the Taizhou Fire and Rescue Command Center in Jiangsu received an emergency call reporting that a child in the Shimao Splendor residential area of Hailing District had her head stuck in a trash can. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to handle the situation.
Upon arrival, they found the girl's head trapped in the outer shell of a trash can. The opening of the can was nearly the same size as her head, causing her significant pain and prompting her to cry loudly. Due to the limited space for maneuvering, one firefighter carefully inserted his hand into the trash can to protect the girl's head and prevent further injury during the cutting process.
Meanwhile, two other firefighters used rescue tools to cut an opening on one side of the plastic bin, gradually expanding it by tearing and trimming the material. Within five minutes, the trash can was successfully removed. After examination, it was confirmed that the child was unharmed.
The girl’s mother explained, "The child was playing at home and put the trash can shell over her head. It got stuck around her neck and couldn’t be pulled off. I tried to cut it with scissors but couldn’t get her out, so we had to call the firefighters. We’re so grateful for their help!"
