Technicians maintained seismic stations on Gorely Volcano amid harsh conditions.

The crew serviced the seismic monitoring stations on the slopes of Gorely Volcano, part of the Mutnovsky-Gorel volcanic group in Kamchatka, Russia, on December 13.

Footage shows the team working to clear ice. They will replace the malfunctioning equipment at the Kaldera Gorely (KLDG) and GRL stations, ensuring the continued monitoring of seismic activity.

Opala Volcano can be seen in the background from the KLDG station, highlighting the tough environment in which these stations operate.

Standing at 1,829 metres, Gorely Volcano is an active volcano known for its numerous craters, with approximately 30 scattered across its slopes.
