Drivers catch huge python seen slithering across road in India
Drivers managed to capture a huge python spotted crossing a busy road in northern India.
Locals reported seeing the serpent moving across the street in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, on the evening of Saturday, September 13.
Quick-thinking motorists attempted to restrain the 11ft reptile and were eventually assisted by a snake catcher who happened to be passing by.
Footage shows the rescuer holding the python by the head as drivers search for a sack to safely contain the animal.
No injuries were reported, and the python is expected to be released back into its natural habitat.
Pythons are among the world's largest snakes, known for their constricting abilities. They are non-venomous and typically subdue their prey by wrapping around and squeezing it. They can prey on a variety of animals, including humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats, and other snakes.
